This practical pre-conference day focuses on applying Self-Determination Theory (SDT) to real organizational challenges.
Leaders and managers understand the importance of motivation for performance and well-being. Yet motivation is not simply about “getting people to act.” Different types of motivation produce different outcomes and some approaches that work in the short term can undermine long-term engagement.
Participants will learn how to:
- Differentiate types of motivation and understand their implications
- Diagnose organizational environments in terms of autonomy, competence, and relatedness support
- Design SDT-aligned management practices and systems
- Address current challenges such as burnout, retention, hybrid work, pay-for-performance, and AI
The day includes:
- Keynotes (Jacques Forest, Ronny Turiaf, Richard M. Ryan)
- Two thematic tracks (Organizational Strategy & Current Challenges)
- Interactive 45-minute workshops
- Practitioner panel
- Networking and experiential activities
The goal is to align organizational performance with basic psychological needs to foster sustainable engagement.
